It helped launch Worldcoin and continues to provide support to the Foundation, in addition to operating the World App.

About the Role:

The integrated communications team at Tools for Humanity is on a mission to raise awareness, understanding and enthusiasm for the Worldcoin project across a diverse range of stakeholders. Policy communications serves as a key extension of the team carrying this mission forward to a regulatory and political oriented audience.

To support the Worldcoin project, the Tools for Humanity communications team is eager to welcome a policy communications expert who can develop and execute strategic communications strategies for a policy-centric audience in support of the strategic communications objectives of the broader team. The amazing human in this role will be responsible for managing projects that extend the global communication team’s goals specifically oriented around regulators, political stakeholders and public affairs individuals. The individual in this role will be embedded on the global integrated communications team and will work closely with the legal, policy and operations teams at Tools for Humanity and will serve as a close partner to external policy and communications firms globally.

In this role you will:

  • Build, execute and scale strategic policy comms plans that build on the core functions of the global integrated communications teams
  • Prepare briefing materials, marketing / comms collateral and other materials specifically tailored for a policy-oriented audience
  • Research, pitch and place members of the Tools for Humanity and Worldcoin teams to participate in speaking engagements, conference and related industry events with a specific focus on regulators and policy makers
  • Provide strategic inputs and expertise to the global integrations team including the Editorial Content Director, product comms lead and regional comms leads with policy-centric blogs, proactive media pitches, talking points, social content and other externally facing communications materials
  • Create and organize global and localized policy communications assets
  • Support the policy team as needed to respond to inquiries, help connect key stakeholders and consult on engagement strategies
  • Work cross functionally with the legal, integrated comms, market operations and policy teams to ensure alignment of materials, strategies and communications goals across policy-oriented audiences

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; 10+ years of experience in policy communications
  • Prior experience with startups and global companies that operate in a highly regulated, yet ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills; keen eye for detail
  • Innate ability to work cross functionally
  • Self-starter and independent thinking who can thrive in a dynamic environment while not always having all of the information or details
  • Creative thinking with an ability to thrive in high pressure and crisis situations
  • Experience managing and working with a network of external PR agencies and policy consultants
  • Passion and excitement for work-related travel
