About the Company:
World is a network of real humans, built on privacy-preserving proof-of-human technology, and powered by a globally inclusive financial network that enables the free flow of digital assets for all. It is built to connect, empower, and be owned by everyone.
The team:
World ID is a digital identity system and proof of humanity for everyone, designed to be a foundational identity protocol for the internet in the era of AGI. It is built to be self-custodial, secure, decentralized and open, setting new standards for privacy and transparency.
At the heart of World ID are groundbreaking innovations in hardware and software—spanning distributed systems, cryptography, sensors, biometrics, machine learning and blockchain technology.
The opportunity:
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of expanding the World ID ecosystem. You’ll work on defining and building the developer facing APIs, Web SDKs, user facing applications and partner integrations that would delight developers and users alike, and showcase the power of World ID in solving the novel challenges posed by AGI.
Your work will be the primary touchpoint for our partners, making their success your own. This role is ideal for a web developer with strong backend skills who is passionate about building the bridges between a core protocol and its real-world applications.
Your responsibilities include:
Web SDK Development: You will own the design, development, and maintenance of our public-facing JavaScript/TypeScript SDK, ensuring it is designed for the future, robust, well-documented, and easy for partners to use.
Partner Integrations: You will work directly with our partners to support their integration efforts, building reference applications, browser add-ons, and other tools to ensure their success on our platform.
API Development: You will build and scale efficient, reliable APIs and backend services using TypeScript to support our own applications, SDKs, and partner needs. This includes everything from simple web API servers, backend services and user-facing web components.
Web Application Development: You will design, build and maintain essential web components, reference implementations and end user facing applications that use World ID.
Cross-functional Collaboration: You will work closely with product managers, designers, other engineers and other XFN stakeholders to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions that advance the World network.
Technical leadership: You may be asked to support a small group of junior engineers and external contractors as a hands-on technical lead, guiding technical design, contributing and reviewing code, and ensuring urgency, completeness and quality of the projects.
About you:
You have a proven track record of building high-quality web applications and well designed developer APIs and SDK. You are fluent in the modern web stack and possess the backend proficiency to build and manage the services that power your applications. You are passionate about creating excellent developer experiences and understand that the success of an SDK is measured by the success of the developers who use it. You can communicate clearly, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and are motivated by the challenge of building the user- and developer-facing layers of an ambitious, world-changing protocol. You are an effective and respected tech lead of small teams.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience supporting third-party developers and partner integrations.
Expertise with modern web frameworks based on JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience building and maintaining public-facing SDKs or developer-focused libraries.
Experience with server-side development and building RESTful APIs (familiarity with Go, Rust, or other compiled languages is a plus).
Ability to work across the full stack, from web servers and simple database interactions to client-side application logic.
By submitting your application, you consent to the processing and internal sharing of your CV within the company, in compliance with the GDPR.
