About the Team
The Market Operations team oversees the strategy execution and deployment of Orbs and network utility across all markets. This group drives user adoption by managing partnerships, business development, distribution of Orbs on the ground, and building network utility.
About the Role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, execution-focused Leader to drive the strategy and execution in the South Cone region (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay). This person will play a key role across four key go-to-market initiatives in Argentina —Orbs for All (merchant-hosted Orb deployments), World ID Rewards (merchant-sponsored offers and loyalty campaigns for verified users), World Spaces (building community across dedicated World locations, developing events and nurturing the local community), Community Operations (unblocking local decentralized operations). The ideal candidate combines sales leadership, operational rigor, strategic mindset, a deep understanding of how to scale distributed networks, and a strong bias towards execution and results.
The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Partner Development, Operations, and Go-to-Market execution in Argentina and collaborates closely with cross functional teams, to ensure global and local alignment and operational excellence.
In addition, the South Cone Head of Market Operations will oversee World partners in Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen and presentation skills, being able to work with key retailers and partners across these markets. You’ll be directly responsible for sourcing and developing partners that will be your key stakeholders on the ground across the territories assigned to them.
The candidate will be directly responsible for hitting key results in network density, efficiency, leading lean operations, partners, sales teams , and partnering cross-functionally with Product, Device, Logistics and the broader Operations org to implement at speed while ensuring compliance and consistency.
This is a foundational role in one of World’s most strategic markets, and an opportunity to shape how Argentine’s experience and adopt our protocol.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Execution
Own the end-to-end sales funnel for both merchant acquisition and retail development in Argentina, from sourcing, acquisition to activation.
Build and execute local go-to-market strategies that align with broader global strategy and region specific milestones
Leverage internal performance data and market insights to shape merchant targeting, incentive models, and campaign strategy.
Prioritize verticals and test offers and innovative go to market strategies that drive both user verifications and long-term retention.
Team Leadership
Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of field-based, performance-driven sales contractors.
Manage a team to operate World Spaces
Source and manage Partners in Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay
Define training, targets, and incentive structures to motivate results across acquisition, activation, and quality benchmarks.
Become a World ambassador in your territory, being comfortable in a spokesperson role, becoming the face of World in the region.
Foster a culture of resilience, transparency, and accountability across the org.
Partner & Stakeholder Management
Oversee development and acquisition of key merchant relationships, especially anchor accounts and national chains.
Identify, secure, launch, and manage key partners in Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay. An ideal partner archetype is a multi-business conglomerate, or key retailer that can be trusted with broad distribution and operations of Orbs in those markets. The ideal candidate is attentive to detail and partner needs, in order to scale the World network efficiently.
Collaborate closely with the Global Head of Market Operations and local Partner/Merchants to deliver on shared goals and ensure integrated execution across sales, Orb deployment, and World network operations.
Serve as a key liaison with cross-functional teams—including Product, Device, Logistics, and the broader Market Ops—to localize strategy and execution.
Operational Excellence
Track and report on KPIs including Orb installations, active merchant count, reward redemptions, location performance, and cost per Orb deployed.
Ensure compliance with local legal and policy standards for merchant onboarding and user rewards.
Design and implement scalable systems to support the strategy across all distribution channels, ensuring asset deployment, and performance monitoring.
Provide support and ensure Partners in Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay, adhere to World standards, are committed to sustaining a high quality network and user experience across touch points.
About You
You have 15+ years of relevant experience. You have succeeded in high-performance operations, business development, or sales roles in Argentina before.
You’re scrappy. You enjoy working as part of a fast-moving, dynamic team and are willing to contribute wherever needed to make an impact.
You have strong cross-cultural competency. You are able to communicate and do business across different cultures and countries and have experience working in cross-cultural environments.
You have strong interpersonal skills. You are able to manage and nurture high-performing relationships with cross-functional teams, and local stakeholders at the highest levels in South Cone. You know that no two people are the same and are able to mediate and resolve conflicts.
You’re innovative. You love coming up with solutions to unconventional problems and taking action.
You’re analytical. You make data-driven decisions and are eager to contribute to larger strategy conversations.
You’re based in Buenos Aires, and are ready to travel. You have extensive experience living and working in the South Cone region, but are also able to spend 30-50% of your time on the road to drive results in your region.
You have experience scaling distributed partner or merchant networks with clear funnel accountability.
Nice to have
Experience scaling a merchant network or channel partner ecosystem.
Experience in Web3, rewards/loyalty platforms, or identity systems.
Deep curiosity and belief in blockchain, privacy-preserving identity and decentralized systems.
Familiarity with South Cone sub region nuances, consumer behavior, offline retail, or regulatory environments.
