The ideal candidate has experience working across different countries in the Americas, is detail-oriented, and has strong knowledge of regional financial rules and practices. Responsibilities:

  • Invoice and PO Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact between regional operations and cross-functional teams across the Americas. Track purchase orders and invoices, provide visibility into their approval status, and ensure they are processed accurately and on time.

  • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for multiple countries in the Americas.

  • Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts across the region.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports that provide clear insights into the financial performance of the Americas region.

  • Audits and Compliance: Partner with auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with local accounting and tax rules in both North and South America.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support regional budgeting and forecasting, and help improve cash management and vendor payment strategies.

  • Analysis and Process Improvement: Monitor regional financial data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to support better decision-making.

  • Compliance: Ensure all financial operations follow relevant laws and regulations across the Americas.

  • Regional Support: Offer financial guidance to support growth, working with both internal teams and local advisory firms on accounting, tax, and compliance matters.

  • Other Duties: Support the broader Finance team and company goals as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience at a Big Four accounting firm is required.

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a technology startup or multinational company.

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting practices in both North and South America, including US GAAP and local standards in LATAM.

  • Experience with accounting software such as SAP S/4HANA, QuickBooks, and productivity tools like Google Sheets and Google Slides.

  • CPA, Contador Público Nacional (CPN), or similar accounting designation preferred.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with vendors and internal teams.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with deadlines and cross-border coordination.
