In 2017, over half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa had no bank account. That's for good reason—the fees are too high, the closest branch can be miles away, and nobody takes cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.
We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast.

Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal, with over 7 million users. And, we're still in the early days of our product roadmap and potential impact on people's everyday lives.
Build the Future With Us — Become Our Next Facility Officer! As our Facility Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping Wave’s spaces running smoothly and looking their best. You’ll be responsible for overseeing and maintaining our buildings and operational areas, including offices, departments, parking lots, and specialized equipment.
You’ll also coordinate with third-party service providers as needed, ensuring that everything is safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
In this role, you'll;
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised work environment in our offices.
- Ensure the general upkeep of its facilities and equipment.
- Look after the buildings and grounds of Wave properties.
- Maintain office efficiency by planning and executing the purchase of equipment, layout, and office systems in Côte d’Ivoire.
- Follow up on bill payments for facility utilities, including but not limited to office expenses (electricity, water, internet, etc.).
- Coordinate and log work orders, and occasionally assist with maintenance tasks.
- Be responsible for booking rooms for meetings and training sessions.
- Manage and supervise contractors who complete repairs and regular maintenance tasks, such as landscaping, cleaning, and painting.
- Address any building, connectivity, and office maintenance issues in the offices and Housing.
- Support the Office Manager with all logistics related to future office moves and changes, as well as facility management in Côte d’Ivoire, as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring that all assets consistently meet building regulations.
- Regularly inspect the facilities' grounds to know when an area needs any attention.
Key details
- Location: You'll work from our office in Côte d’Ivoire.
- Work authorization is required in Côte d’Ivoire.
- This is a permanent position.

Requirements
- Fluency in English, French, and local languages.
- At least 3 years of experience in administration and facilities Management, ideally in an
- international environment.
- Bachelor's or General Certificate of Secondary Education with experience in building or
- construction.
- Basic knowledge of office plumbing and electricity.
- Highly organized, independent, and self-motivated.
