In 2017, over half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa had no bank account. That's for good reason—the fees are too high, the closest branch can be miles away, and nobody takes cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.
We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In November 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments.
In 2019, we expanded to Cote d'Ivoire. Now, we have millions of users and are growing fast.

How you'll help us achieve it
As an Agent Operations Territory Lead, you will be responsible for growing our agent network and signing up more users as we grow our operations. You will travel around the country as needed to recruit agents and oversee the agent network management within your territory.
In this role, you’ll;
- Manage agent recruitment by leading a team of agent openers who will recruit and train agents within your territory.
- Ensure agent quality by seeing to it that all your agents are compliant with all legal and policy requirements and have executed valid contracts
- Continue to ensure agent quality by providing your agents are fully trained on critical elements like the Agent applications, the contents of the contract before signing, Rebalancing options, Fraud management, and many others.
- Collaborate with the BTL team to ensure all your agents are well-branded and have the necessary supplies.
- Coordinate agent liquidity management by monitoring the cash and float availability at agent locations in cooperation with our liquidity team.
- Provide risk Management through routine visitation to report any emerging issues and assess agents' performance in your territory.
- Identify underperforming agents, close them, recover Wave items and equipment, and ensure that branding material is removed
- Be the primary contact person for all agency network acquiring & Wave products in your territory
- Champion excellent customer service among distributors and agents within your territory

- Location: You'll be based in Aboisso and may travel to field locations.
- Work authorization in CI.
- This is a permanent position.

You Might be a good fit if you
- Have 2+ years of experience managing a successful agent network in CI s mobile money, agency banking, or FMCG sectors.
- A demonstrated ability to manage field-based operations across large geographical locations.
- Willingness to travel and spend up to 90% of the time within your assigned territories
- Are currently located in Sud Comoé
- Can speak English & French fluently.
- Can adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions and cope effectively with complexity and change.
