Our talented team comprises top talents from both web2 and web3, dedicated to addressing the intricate challenges within web3’s interoperability infrastructure.
We are seeking a Director of Finance to oversee all corporate financial operations, planning, and compliance. This role will entail preparation of financial statements, forecast and budget setting, tax planning and reporting, accounting, and analysis of financial impacts for special projects.
Web3 experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations
  • Ownership of financial operations and treasury management (cash & digital assets)
  • Manage bank and custody accounts, ensuring appropriate maintenance and signatory authority
  • Calculate and forecast burn, revenue, other income and runway and accurately present current and future cash and crypto positions in real-time
  • Work with Legal and the leadership team on transfer pricing and inter-company arrangements
  • Monitor and oversee the performance of outsourced services by outsourced service providers relating to the finance function
  • Reporting and Compliance
  • Streamline operations and ensure best practices and regulatory compliance, in collaboration with Legal
  • Regularly report on cash position, liquidity forecasts, and counterparty risks to leadership
  • Establish and track core metrics that are essential to the financial health of the company
  • Lead and monitor the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
  • Lead the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting and accounting policies and procedures
  • Act as a primary senior point of contact within the company for internal and external financial and accounting queries
  • Strategic Planning and Forecasting
  • Lead strategic liquidity and financial planning, focusing on detailed cash and Polymer digital assets projections to support the company's growth and strategic objectives
  • Develop forecasting models to predict liquidity needs and plan for asset value fluctuations, bearing in mind market trends and company goals
  • Prepare meaningful analysis for strategic business decisions and model financial situations in close collaboration with the leadership team
  • Provide insightful and quality financial advice to support the company's business decision-making
  • Cash and Liquidity Management
  • Align liquidity management, including cash flow optimization and liquidity forecasting, with the company's broader investment and financing strategies
  • Devise liquidity strategies to navigate the unique challenges of cryptocurrency assets and DeFi, with a particular focus on Polymer digital asset dynamics
  • Implement proactive liquidity monitoring and forecasting to manage crypto market volatility effectively
  • Risk Management
  • Establish and continuously refine risk management strategies to keep pace with the evolving digital asset markets
  • Assess and monitor counterparty risks associated with the company's financial partners and service providers
  • Conduct regular reviews of counterparty risk exposure and adjust risk management strategies as necessary
