About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to lead our Legal and HR operations across both of our business units: Livepeer Studio and Livepeer Ecosystem. This role involves overseeing all Legal and People/HR workstreams, ensuring seamless operations and compliance in a rapidly evolving web3 environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal operations and HR management, with specific experience in web3 startups or DAOs, and preferably in SaaS businesses. As a fully remote and highly decentralized team, this person must be comfortable managing legal matters and HR in an international context. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement efficient team structures, competitive compensation packages, and robust legal frameworks to support our innovative video infrastructure offerings. This position will report to Livepeer's VP of Operations & Finance and work closely with Livepeer's CEO, CTO, and team managers.

    • Lead and manage all HR functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes in a remote and decentralized team environment.
    • Orchestrate performance reviews across globally distributed teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Design and implement competitive compensation packages that meet the needs of both business units and diverse geographic locations.
    • Architect team structures to align with organizational goals and facilitate growth in an international context.
    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations across different jurisdictions.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues and concerns.
    • Foster a cohesive and inclusive remote work culture that supports team members across various time zones and cultures.

    • Experience drafting and reviewing contracts and policies across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory environments, particularly in the context of blockchain and decentralized technologies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a globally distributed organization.
    • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Legal degree is not required but would be a plus.
