About the Role

Livepeer is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the product roadmap organization and execution for the various components that make up the Livepeer Network. This includes the node operator software that Orchestrators run to perform video transcoding and AI inference on the network, the Gateway node software that provides developer interfaces to use the network for transcoding and AI inference, and the Livepeer protocol capabilities themselves. You will play a crucial role in defining the product interfaces to consume generative AI capabilities on the network. You will report into and work directly with the project founder and protocol architect to drive the the Livepeer network forward for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the product roadmap and execution for the components that make up the Livepeer Network.
• Oversee the development and enhancement of Orchestrator node operator software and Gateway node software.
• Define product interfaces for generative AI capabilities on the network.
• Be responsible for the key KPIs around the network’s performance, cost effectiveness, and scale for video transcoding and AI inference.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Interact with Livepeer's large community of node operators, token holders, and builders to gather feedback and drive product improvements.
• Coordinate development roadmaps and processes that incorporate multiple stakeholders across the Livepeer ecosystem.
• Ensure alignment with the overall project and ecosystem growth strategies.

Requirements

• Extensive product management or engineering leadership experience in a technical domain.
• Developer experience with a strong understanding of infrastructure in cloud and self-hosted environments.
• Experience running and administering nodes on blockchain-based networks is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse community of stakeholders.
• Passion for decentralized technologies and the potential of Web3.

Nice to Have

• Experience in video streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
• Previous experience working with open-source projects and communities.
  

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $150-175K USD cash
