About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Manager – Public & Media Relations to lead external communications and strengthen the company's reputation. The role requires a strong communicator who can leverage media relationships, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement to enhance brand perception, elevate leadership visibility, and support key business priorities.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Communications & Positioning:
- Support in shaping and strengthening PeepalCo's brand narrative across media, industry forums, and stakeholder communications.
- Develop and execute integrated communications strategies aligned with business priorities.
- Identify emerging industry trends, market developments, and news opportunities to position the company as a thought leader within fintech and investing.
Media Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business, financial, startup, and technology journalists across print, digital, television, and new-age media platforms.
- Drive proactive media outreach and secure meaningful, high-quality coverage that supports business and reputation goals.
- Manage media queries, interview opportunities, briefing materials, and spokesperson engagements.
CXO & Leadership Communications:
- Be an active part of profiling initiatives for founders and senior leadership across media, industry events, awards, and thought leadership platforms.
- Draft opinion pieces, bylines, keynote messaging, interview briefs, LinkedIn content, and strategic communication assets for leadership.
- Ensure consistency in leadership messaging across internal and external channels.
Reputation & Crisis Management:
- Monitor media coverage, industry developments, and stakeholder sentiment to proactively identify reputation risks.
- Support crisis communication planning and response efforts, including message development and stakeholder coordination.
Measurement and Reporting:
- Analyze media performance, share of voice, sentiment, and competitive positioning.
- Deliver regular communication impact reports with actionable recommendations to improve visibility and reputation outcomes.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, business teams, agency partners, media, industry bodies, and ecosystem partners.
What You Should Have
- 4–5 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Strategic Communications, preferably within fintech, financial services, technology, or high-growth startup ecosystems.
- Proven ability to manage high-impact communication campaigns and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling and content development capabilities.
- Experience handling sensitive issues, crisis communications, and reputation management initiatives.
- Ability to think strategically while executing with attention to detail and speed.
- Familiarity with current trends.
- Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Collaborative and excelling in team spirit, both internally and externally - the ability to build relationships and trust.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and media monitoring/reporting tools.
