About the Role

Certora is looking for a Validator Infrastructure Engineer to own, operate, and expand our validator infrastructure across current and future blockchain networks.

This is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on validator operations, Linux systems, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security hardening. The role includes maintaining existing validator environments, leading the deployment of new validators, and driving infrastructure decisions around hardware, hosting, networking, latency, observability, and resilience.

In parallel, this role contributes to broader infrastructure work across cloud environments, internal systems, and security-focused operational initiatives.

High availability is critical, and the role requires flexible availability in the event of unscheduled maintenance, production issues or service degradation.

Key Responsibilities

Own the operation, maintenance, and reliability of existing validator infrastructure
Lead the deployment of new validators across additional blockchain networks
Evaluate and optimize hardware, hosting providers, geographic placement, bandwidth, and latency
Operate and improve bare metal validator environments with a strong focus on uptime, stability, and performance
Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and operational automation
Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive remediation
Manage upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and ongoing infrastructure improvements
Apply hardening and secure configuration practices across validator and infrastructure environments
Support infrastructure engineering work across AWS, internal cloud environments, and Linux-based systems
Contribute to internal infrastructure and selected security-related operational projects

Mandatory Requirements

Strong hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
Proven experience operating production infrastructure in high-availability environments
Experience with blockchain validators or similar distributed node infrastructure; Exposure to data analysis: able to query data, build basic dashboards, and interpret metrics to inform decisions from requirements through optimization.
Strong understanding of bare metal environments, hosting providers, and infrastructure performance considerations
Good understanding of networking, latency, routing, and reliability considerations in distributed systems
Experience with monitoring, alerting, incident handling, and operational troubleshooting in production systems
Experience with scripting and automation, including Bash and Python (fluent in at least one programming language), automation, and infrastructure operations
Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure design in cloud environments
Strong security mindset, including hardening, access control, and secure configuration practices
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of systems and projects

Strong Advantage

Hands-on experience operating Solana or Sui validators
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools
Experience selecting and optimizing hardware and hosting environments for performance-sensitive systems
Experience supporting internal infrastructure and security-related operational work
