We are headquartered in Flatiron in New York City. This role requires working full-time from our New York City Office.

If you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.

About Loopscale

Loopscale is on a mission to unlock economic opportunity by building the next generation of capital markets on efficient, open networks. Our flagship product, a lending order book on Solana, introduces a new paradigm in on-chain credit. Loopscale is a New York-based startup founded by a team of crypto-natives that has launched products with over $100M of on-chain volume. We are backed by Coinbase, Jump, Coinfund, and Solana Ventures. Visit our website, docs, and social media to learn more.

You will:

  • Build high-performance servers in Rust deployed on GCP that interface with the Solana network and Loopscale's web application, focusing on security, reliability and latency.

  • Build, maintain, improve, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure and resources using IaC tools.

  • Manage and optimize databases (MySQL & Redis) for real-time blockchain data and user information.

  • Develop robust testing and security measures to ensure reliability and protect against sybil attacks, hacks, and other security threats in a blockchain environment.

  • Optimize system performance and scalability through code optimization and architectural enhancements.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software, collaborating with the product team and external partners throughout the development cycle, from ideation to production.

  • Implement and uphold coding standards, with a focus on extensibility, maintainability, and comprehensive testing.

Ideally, you have:

  • 4+ years of experience working on performant services at scale, ideally in finance or adjacent industries.

  • Have experience with microservices and architectures, such as pub/sub and messaging queues.

  • Expertise in databases, with a deep understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning, to handle large-scale data efficiently.

  • Experience with cloud services, including GCP App Engine, GKE, along with complex CI/CD workflows and safe deployment strategies (Blue-Green, Canary, and A/B Testing).

  • Knowledge of networking routing, load balancing, and telemetry tools.

  • Strong work ethic and communication skills, with the ability to operate with ambiguous requirements in a team environment and proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

  • General understanding of blockchain development, particularly developing programs in the SVM and data indexing strategies for on-chain data.

You get:

  • Competitive compensation with potential equity and token options.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans.

  • In-person private workplace in Flatiron, New York.

  • Regular off-sites and other company-sponsored events and travel opportunities.
