Role Description

This is a full-time, remote contract role for a Manual QA Engineer with a focus on Exploratory testing.

What you will do

• Perform exploratory, context-driven testing of new and existing features across web and mobile platforms
• Conduct ad-hoc testing when needed
• Proactively uncover edge cases, inconsistencies, and regressions (strong pattern recognition skills)
• Document findings clearly and work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
• Collaborate with the team during feature development to provide early feedback
• Validate data flows and backend processing by checking logs, APIs, and databases
• Proactively investigate issues using monitoring tools such as Datadog
• Manually test APIs (e.g., using Swagger or Postman)
• Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate closely with developers and the product owner

Requirements

• Strong experience with exploratory, context-driven testing is a must
• Experience with ad-hoc testing is a plus
• Familiarity with fintech, banking, or crypto environments
• Comfortable analyzing backend behavior using logs, APIs, or basic SQL
• Ability to work independently and think like a user, a hacker, or a product owner
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Postman, or similar
• Strong sense of ownership, and being proactive
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good command of English, we are an international team
